Turmeric is one of the most easily found superfoods. It is an excellent anti-inflammatory agent and anti-microbial. It should be a go-to ingredient especially when you’re feeling under the weather, no matter what the ailment.

It’s rainy and cold here in the Netherlands at the moment so I’m making an immunity-boosting coconut milk turmeric latte – sounds a bit funny but don’t knock it until you try it! You’ll be surprised.

Serves 1turmeric latte
Time 5 mins

Ingredients:

Method:

  1. Place all ingredients in a pot on the stove over medium heat.
  2. Heat the mixture while stirring to warm up the milk to a boil then turn off the heat.
  3. Use a stick mixer or blender to make the mixture a little extra creamy.
  4. Serve warm.

Alternatively:

  1. Heat the coconut milk in a glass in the microwave.
  2. Transfer to a blender with all other ingredients and blend for 10-15 seconds.
  3. Serve warm.
