Beach Workout

beach workout

Everyone (well, at least MOST people, I’m sure) loves to relax on the beach; reading a book, going for dips to cool off, making sand castles, beach cricket.

For me it’s the salt air smell, the sand between my toes and the feeling of freedom.

I love heading out for an early morning walk and workout on the beach. Working out on the sand creates instability and takes the workout to another level – building stability through the core, ankle and knee joints. Next time you’re at the beach, try this little workout to get your heart rate up, work that stability and get yourself covered in sand before heading-in for a well-deserved dip to cool off.

Do 3-6 rounds depending on your ability and desired length of workout.
